Oh, Hello Again

Friends, it's been too long. Far, far too long. To apologize for this, I want to show you something awesome. Something I'm obsessed with. The incredibly talented Carl Kleiner took these incredible images for a new cookbook called “Hembakat är Bäst”, translated to "Homemade is Best". These books are available for free at Ikea, but only in Sweden. The images show the ingredients to each recipe before it is actually mixed and made. They are all just incredible. His stylist is a genius. A fun game to play is to try and guess what each picture will be making before you read the answer. No? Not fun? Well fine. I thought it was fun...

Color Picker Pen

This is a killer concept. It's like the eyedropper tool in Photoshop where you can sample a color and recreate it...but in real life! The scanner at the end of the pen takes the color, analyzes it, and then the cartridges in the pen recreate the color for you to draw with! FUTURE!!!

In-cred-i-ble!

One of the best things I've seen in a long time. Photographer Robbie Cooper created this for the New York Times. He literally just videotaped children as they played videogames. It's called "Immersion" and I've watched it about 10 times already.

2007 Top 8 Most Dangerous Animals

I might have switched the hovering manatee and the bee. That's just me, though.

Kyle Cummings

I love love love Kyle Cummings. Not only because he is an amazing illustrator, but also because his blog is really interesting! He posts projects that he is working on, reviews books and movies, and just talks about his day-to-day life. He seems like an interesting kid, and his prints show his creativity and talent. I especially like his Lil' Kitchen and For the Birds collections. Check out his work here and his blog here.
